Make Up Mode Creatives - Advanced Fashion - Sydney

It was a wonderful experience to be involved in this shoot with one of my favourite creatives, Make-up Mode and the graduates of their Advanced Fashion Course. The Creatives : Elizabeth Mizyed, Shelley Lia, Christina Pirrello and Rebecca Suarez - Camacho. Didn't they come up with some great looks? And the models were just wonderful, luckily it was still warm enough in Sydney autumn to jump in the pool! Many thanks to Sue Markovic and Bec DeMurtas for being such lovely assistants and Eberhardt Jewellery for supplying us with the stunning pieces you see here. If you are thinking about studying the artistry of makeup application have a look at Make-up Mode's classes, there are several options available and Sue is an amazing and generous teacher. I love working with her and her students as they make my photo processing life so simple. The results speak for themselves!

Autumn Family Shoot - Leura - Blue Mountains - New South Wales

A little family shoot that took place in Autumn (yes, I am behind in my blogging!) with some dear friends of mine celebrating 20 years of marriage with some family photos. What a beautiful memory this day was; Leura is a special place for them and Autumn is their favourite season and when they were married all those years ago. We had an amazing day at the edge of the Blue Mountains with clear skies and sunny weather, not too cold at all. Weather like this makes me so happy to be back home in Australia, we have the most amazing winters. It's beautiful to see how my lovely families interact with each other and to capture it on film for them, I just love it. These photos were a mixture of Canon digital and my Mamiya 645 using Fuji film and processed at Richard Photo Lab. I was so happy with the film processed here I have started to use it more and more in these family shoots. I have some fabulous families booked in for Spring photo sessions in Sydney so looking forward to showing you these soon!

A South of France Wedding - Ingrid & Norman - Bonneville - Rhône-Alpes - France

Here's a story of a French Italian girl named Ingrid. She liked to travel, and we became friends when she was in Sydney years ago. Fast forward a few years and she's in Mexico at the wedding of her brother and decides to stay a while. Here she meets Norman, an American born Mexican British boy, who tries to persuade her to stay and see more of him. But Ingrid decides she wants to travel, and that's that. A few months later Ingrid comes to visit me while I am living in London.. no need for me to pick her up from the airport, someone named Norman has come to meet her ....

So what happens next? A 24 hour party in Bonneville, a small pretty town near the Alps bringing people from all corners of the earth to celebrate their wedding. A surprise Mariachi band was to be expected...

Art Gallery of New South Wales - Sydney - Australia

I have a terrible habit of not seeing the wonders that are right in front of me and instead seeking out far flung adventures, when brilliant things lie at home. One rainy Saturday we ventured to the Art Gallery of NSW to view this years Archibald Prize finalists. We hadn't been in many years and were in for a treat. After visiting so many famous galleries around the world, we were amazed to see such a high standard of art on display and loved the friendly and peaceful vibe of the gallery. I think I've found my new Sydney serenity retreat!
